Greetings Interdependent Community Sphere Members!

We figured all of you had plenty of 'Happy 2010' emails to read the past few weeks so we wanted to send ours a little further into the turning. Also Susan (the Sphere's executive administrator) has been very busy regrouping from graduation and taking some good time out from her whirlwind communities & events tour this past year - which we have began releasing media from on the main website.

We know the Sphere has been rather quiet and we feel it is perfectly in alignment with the deep winter we are moving through as community tribes. We have been taking time pruning roses/trees and enjoying the peaceful silence of the land.

We did send out an email before Solstice with a message that the Seeds of Sustainability DVD is available to all the Sphere members as a gift digital download (link/info/password on the main page of the Sphere) and also let you all know that if you have internet issues we can send your community a gifted hardcopy DVD as well.

The gifting of this resource to all of you was the original intent and vision of Robin Marche, the author and discoverer of this revolutionary 'no rinse' sprouting method and living oils. We have been in communication with some of you about potential ways that this resource can be utilized as an income generator for your community and we look forward to picking that conversation back up here in the Sphere. We are currently working with our marketing director to set up a way for any of you here in the Sphere to also be able to earn revenue from promoting the DVD from your sites or blogs IF you are interested. We will keep you posted on the developments.

We have new communities that will be joining the Sphere soon and we encourage all of you to invite your community members and extended family/tribe/friends to become a part of the Sphere so that we can all weave interdependently a future that supports the healthy evolution and abundance...

We have been working towards this vision and in December we launched the Green Fire Foundation website which is the non-profit private foundation that will be providing infrastructure grants to developing/existing EcoVillages and sustainable communities.

We are currently scouting for board members who do not live in any community that may be eligible for grant funds (kind of a conflict of interest) and who have a deep understanding and experience living in community. Grant funds will be made available to Sphere communities only and we are developing the criteria for applicants.

The foundation is being set up to receive 10% of the gross receipts from SeThInk Media - parent company of the Interdependent Project - and we will be challenging other businesses to expand beyond the "1% for the Planet" model to a more focused 10% for Sustainable Communities. We will be sharing more as we move along but we are very excited and would love to hear all of your thoughts around it.

We would love to hear your communities visions and goals for 2010 and we have started a forum string where you can share with everyone what is happening in your community for this coming year!
