I have been operating a small farm based retreat center in the woods of Kansas for over 15 years now and am intentional about forming a small ecovillage. We have 35 beautiful acres of wooded land, some gorgeous river-bottom soil to grow veggies, a 100-year-old barn that is fully rehabbed as a meeting center, and an old farmhouse. A good bit of our land,across a big creek, is held as a natural habitat for nature. We are seeking visionary, well-grounded, conscious individuals to help steward this land and help grow a small village. Living space rental is available or buy-in to ownership/ an LLC.
I am a nurse and hospice chaplain by background and know that I need many sharp minds to join in the tasks that lie ahead. My work is in the realm of healing and I feel quite certain that the way we are healing this planet is my creating quiet peaceful places where people can gather and live apart from the chaos that is swirling. I am inspired by Anastasia, Penny Kelly, Helen Yamada and so many teachers who model simple, gentle ways to walk the earth in a good way.
The Light Center is an Alternative Unity Ministry with 501c3 priviledges under the Association of Unity Churches International. It is a not-for-profit corporation and leases land here to operate a wide range of healing retreat programs. Our mission is: Trailblazing new paths to live in spiritual harmony.
