1960's-1970's vintage - living in an off the grid old adobe in Northern New Mexico on 40 acres in a high mountain valley where our landlords taught us many of the traditional practices. We were pretty self-sufficient at an earlier commune as well. Plus some ashram life in Northern California where we tried our best to be sustainable. Even here in the Bay Area, I still eat locally and seasonably, use natural healing techniques, recycle..... as I have been doing for 40+ years.
