I am affiliated to the Masters of Architecture (Sustainable Architecture)in Bharti Vidyapeeth Deemed University, Pune, India.
We have a subject named Research Design and Methodologies. We have been given an assignment to have a literature review on any topic that would be useful for the dissertation in the final semester of the final year. Hence I would like to go in depth the studies carried out by the Design and the Service Core team.
Also I would like to know that being in the Design Team can you guide me to add on how this community can function better. Since I have to add on to some aspects that you would still like to consider now that the term Eco village is becoming a sustainable way of living. The research that I do has to be pure coming from my side on the basis of which I will be graded.
This knowledge will be used for dissertation and the designing of the thesis project as of now.
I would like to work for such an eco village community to get a first hand experience about the minute detailing that goes into not only the architectural part but the overall development of the village.
Please share your sustainable living background or experience (if any) that you would like to bring to this community
My family has shifted to a new home since last 13 years. Here, the sustainability aspect that we follow is the
use of solar water heating as India is the land of abundant sunshine most of the year.
We are located very near to the municipal overhead tank of the area and so our sump tank is filled directly and the force is so much that once a day the overhead tank gets automatically filled when the municipal body releases water for storage. Hence we save on electricity.
We have designed our building in such a way that maximum daylight is penetrating even in the attic and the basement for the daylit hours and hence the electricity consumption is less.

The music is blaring, the laughs are abundant, and the Cobb cha cha is in full effect!
