Comment by Global EcoVillage Admin on November 16, 2011 at 9:17pm In general the 'discussions' are for topics that you want to be able to create ongoing conversation in - threads. Pages are for what is sometimes called 'static content' but we stick to 'article' - content that is more information based and not conversation based. For example a page could be created that posts information about the health advantages of a Raw Food diet. A 'discussion' could be posted about your own personal health journey and open to discussion with others. Hope that helps clarify the difference. The 'comments' are for short statements or questions.
Comment by Chris Kendall on November 16, 2011 at 9:18am For sure all fun topics n indeed I figure each could warrant its own discussion. I am still unclear myself :)
Comment by Stefan Wolf on November 15, 2011 at 11:39pm I would like to contribute also. I am especially interested in simple diet, imported V.S. local foods, peace-food and sustainability in terms of food. I suppose it is most suitable to create new desicussions about this? did not get the big difference between adding a discussion and adding a page...
Comment by Chris Kendall on November 15, 2011 at 10:00am Blissings n thanks everyone for Joining!! :) Love it! :)
I would love to open by saying any and all topics are open, I would love to share all I know and grow in the sharing of others. I have started a recipe discussion, opening the door to food combining and anything else in that arena. From the science to application to ecology to ethics, all fun topics, feel free to add any or bring anything up :)

Comment by Global EcoVillage Admin on November 14, 2011 at 10:58pm Hi Chris
This group is a perfect and essential addition to the community! The text box is a place where you can post video htm, photos, and other content that you would like to have. The discussion forum allows for topic related conversations (and recipe sharing YUM) and you also have the option of having a RSS feed that picks up posts from a favorite blog (do you have a blog currently?) that allows members to read posts right here on your page. To the right below the members box you can see +Add a Page - which allows you to have full pages for articles as well. Let us know if you need any assistance. We will announce your group in the next broadcast so be sure to dress it up a bit for new members.
